This is my brother Ben. He is a university rower, and can go from uni-suit to suit and tie like it's nobody's business.
I want this blog to be used as style inspiration, not just for women's wear, but for menswear aswell- so Ben will be making cameo appearances quite frequently.
As I begin research for my upcoming menswear project at school, I find Ben's closet a pretty darn good resource, as he appreciates quality pieces, and unique details. And to be honest, he was the one who taught me what collar stays are (im slightly embarrassed to admit that though).
I have always been interested in menswear, because typical pieces like a dress shirt or sports coat, are amped up by the details- button placement, contrast collar stands, pockets- it's the little things that make a difference.
I think it's safe to say Ben has good style- he's a sharp dresser, and knows how to pick out a nicely fitted dress shirt by himself (something probably most guys struggle with). When it comes to tailored pieces, he swears by H&M. H&M sells slim fit garments because they understand that there are some guys in this world who want to look presentable.. and not wear baggy clothing. Ben can almost always leave H&M with a timeless, European inspired piece that will always be in style, and can be paired with almost anything.
His Look:
-Brown Tweed Blazer: H&M
-Blue Vneck Sweater: Abercrombie
-White/Blue pinstripe dress shirt: H&M
-Brown Leather Watch: Invicta
-Medium Wash Denim: H&M
-Brown Leather Shoes: Aldo
