I would be completely lying to you if I told you I knew what part of new york I was in on this fine 4th day. Because I honestly have no idea. But it's okay, because it was a good day.
First off (I think), we went to Dye-namics, a fabric dying company. I actually really enjoyed this tour because it showed us a part of the industry that we probably take for granted. The fact that we can walk into a fabric store and have countless options for colours, prints, amd textures is overlooked. These colours, prints, and textures don't just happen- it is all based on trend forecasting.
However dye-namics isn't just your average fabric store. They are a small New York studio with a huge client base making high end prints for high end designers. It made me appreciate where textile design comes from and how it is produced. They put as much craft and care into dying and printing fabric as a designer would put into their entire collection!

(I want my office to look this cute and dreamy when I move to New York.)
*By the way, I still don't know where we are*
But I do know that we headed to this amazing place similar to heaven called a FABRIC STORE! I died. This place was unreal! Isles and isles and bolts and bolts of fabric. I was a happy girl!

Next, we headed to another place (can you tell this part of the trip has clearly slipped my mind...?) where we visited a candy store and a shoe store... the perfect combination. Thank you tour guides!
We obviously spent more time in the shoe store.

Later that day we got in touch with our inner immature self and went on the giant 3 story ferris wheel at the Toys R Us in Time Square.
In the evening we went to an off broadway show called The Heathers which was actually pretty good!
And it meant another outfit change...

After (off) Broadway, we stopped in Times Square for a typical touristy picture before grabbing dinner and deciding to go to tbe Empire State building at midnight.
My fiery red head friend and I probably talking about aperture and shutter speed for optimal night shooting.
I am absolutley a sucker for a stunning view. Since it was midnight, there was no one else up there but our group of 11, so we could take in tbe view without being crowded. A good skyline is one of my favourite things in the world, and looking at this city never gets old.
