I told you I would eventually post outfits regarding the sale items I picked up from Zara, so here is the first. I've been dying to wear this skirt from the moment I slipped it on in the fitting room. Because it is quite lustrous, it's seems pretty formal, but it can easily be dressed down and worn casually.
I paired the dusty rose coloured skirt with a white, boxy shirt which has a 'white on white' print. It makes the overall look more interesting because there is some texture to the shirt.

I kept everything very simple because of the skirts lustre, so I accessorized this look with my every day summer sandals, black and white chevron printed J Crew wristlet, and sunnies. I tied my hair back in a pony (because who wants to deal with hair in this heat... not me), and simple eye makeup (partial eyeliner and mascara, brows filled), and my 'Spice' lip liner as lipstick.
Thank you for the brief use of your brick wall, Target. The overall colour composition was enhanced as the sun started to set.
Do you ever just go into Winners just to try things on? No? Just me? Well then........
YOU CANT JUST GO INTO WINNERS AND NOT TRY ANYTHING ON (or buy anything......)

Surprised the lady let me take the shoes into the fitting room.... anyways it was the perfect opportunity to snap some pics of the shoes paired with the skirt, and can I just say MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN! I mean, c'mon!!
(Sometimes it's okay just to try things on for fun!)
I found a gorgeous Cynthia Rowley shirt while skimming through the racks of Winners. It is a cream coloured loose fitting slip on blouse with a pattern block in different hues of blue and creams. It pairs SO well with the skirt and shoes and made me feel a little like a fortune teller but I was okay with that. While I'm trying to be less of an impulsive shopper, I decided that I would most likely only wear this top with this skirt... I couldn't picture it as an outfit staple.... so I walked away. I know, shocking.
